A television cast and crew such as Eat Bulaga! are qualified to work and perform in the United States under a P visa for Entertainment groups. Under such visa, an entertainment group must be internationally recognized as outstanding in the area, and have a sustained period of achievement. Also, the individual members must have a substantial relationship to the group, generally satisfied by at least one year. Documentation required to prove international recognition includes: awards, evidence of commercial success, articles or features in magazines or trade journals, and proof that the group commands a high salary. As for the crew or support personnel of an entertainment group, such visa classification would be P-1S and documentation of each personnel being essential to show's success must be proven. A P visa is also used by foreign nationals who are athletes who are a part of an internationally recognized team. Similar proof and documentation is required.
If you are not an entertainment group or athlete part of a team, but are an individual who commands similar success and international or national recognition in the arts, education, science, and business, you may qualify under an O-visa. People coming on O visa include extraordinarily talented and nationally or internationally known scientists, educators, artists, athletes or business people. Such ability must be extensively documented and substantiated through awards won, media attention received, and association with other renowned experts in the same field, and/or innovation or major contributions in the specific field of expertise among other forms of proof. National and/or international acclaim of the individual is important in establishing extraordinary ability.
If you are a foreign national who is a person of extraordinary ability and has an opportunity to work or perform in the United States, contact Wilner & O'Reilly and let us take care of your immigration needs.
